How to Create a Family Vision

When you begin homeschooling, it is important to take the time to create a Family Vision.

To start, sit down with your spouse (or whoever is directly involved in setting family goals) and determine what’s most important to you — as well as your fears and opportunities.

As you communicate about these things, it helps to use “I” language rather than “you” language (e.g., “I feel uncomfortable when…” rather than “You make me feel uncomfortable when…”).

Then create a list of the areas in which you want to improve as a family (e.g., personal growth, financial security, community involvement).

Your want to write out clear and specific goals for each area.

To save you time, and guide you through the entire process, I have put together a 24-page Family Vision Workbook with action steps and worksheets.
